The Sakunthala Legacy started out in 1997 at Dickson Food Garden. Named in honor of their mother, the stall, open at nights only, is being managed by a family of three sisters and a brother. Two of the sisters being good cooks, the business flourished. Two years fast forward, in 1999 Sakunthala's Restaurant opened its doors at Dunlop street, serving a wide variety of South Indian Cuisine, winning various recognition from the media including a feature in the Award Winning MakanSutra Program on Channel i. Sakunthala's Food Palace, the first of its kind in Singapore to serve a fusion of Chinese and Indian cuisine, opened in 2004. It boasts kitchen with Chinese and Indian chefs whipping out various dishes with a flair for creative but scrumptious delights! With ample parking facilities, spacious dining area and even a party hall to host 100 people, Sakunthala's Food Palace is the cut above the rest! |
